When it comes to copywriting software, it’s safe to say that Copy.ai is one of the best on the market. Powered by GPT-3 artificial intelligence, it produces consistently satisfactory content that, at times, almost sounds like a human could have written it. However, “satisfactory” isn’t perfect – and while it’s hard to truly say that there’s a perfect AI copywriting tool out there, there are some great Copy.ai alternatives that are worth looking into.

Best Alternatives to Copy.ai in 2024

Copywriting AI is still a relatively new field, and there are exciting technological developments being made every day.

With that said, this list represents the best copy/content-producing AI products on the market today, all of which may be viable alternatives to Copy.ai for your company or business.

At the very end of the list, I have also included two of the worst AI writers you should avoid at all costs.

1. Jasper (Best long-form AI content writing tool)

Jasper Main Features

jasper features

Ever since it was founded in early 2021, Jasper has gone through a whirlwind of product evolutions. First known as Conversion.ai, it was then changed to Jarvis.ai, only to be rebranded again as Jasper.ai.

But don’t let all of this upheaval worry you: throughout all of the rebranding, its quality has remained consistent, and the company has worked hard to stay ahead of the market when it comes to sophistication and range of tools.

Jasper currently offers more than 50 distinctive content-generation tools, a number that is likely to grow in the future. It guarantees that your writing will be creative, unique, and, most importantly, ranked for SEO.

Thanks to its use of the language learning software OpenAI GPT-3 artificial intelligence, Jasper generates some of the most humanoid content of all AI copywriting tools.

jasper supported languages

Best of all, Jasper is capable of producing high-quality, grammatically correct content in more than 25 languages, including Spanish, Chinese, Polish, Russian, Dutch, Finnish, and even Latvian.

Jasper.ai Pricing & Free Trial

jasper pricing

Jasper comes at three price points: Starter, Boss Mode and Business. While the Business plan requires contacting the company to get a custom quote, the Starter plan starts at $24/month.

Prices for the Starter plan are on a sliding scale that goes up based on how many words you want to be able to generate per month.

The Jasper Boss Mode plan starts at $39 for 50,000 words a month and includes all of these features plus a Google Docs style editor, compose and command features, maximum content lookback, and much more.

https://iframe.videodelivery.net/ede6d1de54d63e92c75ba3b17ed23c30?muted=true&loop=true&autoplay=true&controls=false

While Jasper doesn’t offer a free trial, it does come with a 5-day, 100% money-back guarantee on all its plans, including the Boss Mode and Enterprise plans.

Which one is better, Jasper vs Copy.ai?

who is jasper.ai

Compared to Copy.ai, Jasper comes out on top when it comes to the sophistication, readability, and relevance of the text it produces.

This is perhaps surprising since Copy.ai and Jasper both use the GTP-3, GPT-4 language learning module as their core AI technology, but it’s clear that the engineers at Jasper have fine-tuned it to create a superior product.

Jasper is capable of producing grammatically-correct content in more languages than Copy.ai.

It also comes with a genuinely unique (as in, the only one in the industry) Content Recipes feature that allows you to generate content based on “recipes” simply by entering a basic command for the type of content you want to be produced.

Finally, Jasper blows past the competition with its Blog Post Generator tool, which can produce full-length blog posts from start to finish that are topical, grammatically correct, and rank highly with SEO.

All in all, when it comes to AI-powered content writing tools in 2024, Jasper is pretty much impossible to beat.

Plus, when you sign up now you’ll get 10,000 free credits to start writing high-quality content that’s 100% original and SEO optimized!

2. ClosersCopy (Best propriety AI content writing tool)

closerscopy homepage

Coming in at a close second on my list of Copy.ai alternatives is ClosersCopy, a truly unique AI copywriting tool with a lot to offer.

ClosersCopy Main Features

While most of the best copywriting AI tools are powered by GTP-3 AI technology, ClosersCopy has chosen to go in a different direction by building its own proprietary AI technology to power its copywriting tools.

This has turned out to be a great decision for the company, as ClosersCopy offers some of the best content generations on the market, with no filters or restrictions.

Its proprietary technology has made it a favorite of many businesses and marketing teams, and ClosersCopy has built up an impressive range of more than 300 marketing frameworks to keep its customers happy.

Once again anticipating the needs of its primary customer base, ClosersCopy also offers advanced team management and collaboration features, making it easy for multiple people to work on the same project simultaneously.

ClosersCopy Pricing & Free Trial

closercopy pricing

ClosersCopy offers three price points:

  • Power ($49.99/monthly): comes with 300 AI runs and 50 SEO audits per month, 2 collaborators, limited updates, SEO audit and planner, and more.
  • Superpower ($79.99/monthly): comes with unlimited AI Writing and unlimited SEO audits, plus unlimited updates, 3 collaborators, and all the great features from the Power plan.
  • Superpower Squad ($99.99/monthly): This plan comes with all the best features of the first two plans, plus the ability to add up to 5 collaborators.

Unfortunately, ClosersCopy does not offer a free trial at this time.

ClosersCopy vs Copy.ai?

ClosersCopy really stands out from the crowd thanks to its proprietary AI technology, which puts it a leg ahead of Copy.ai.

Its usage of its own unique AI software means that it’s more flexible and allows customers to choose between three specialized models for producing copy: ad copy, sales copy, landing page, stories, and blog posts.

ClosersCopy also boasts a better, more robust text editor tool than Copy.ai and – like Jasper – includes the ability to produce full-length blog posts and articles from just a few starter sentences.

However, if you’re looking for a free plan and/or the ability to try out an AI copywriting tool before committing, then Copy.ai is likely a better fit for you since ClosersCopy doesn’t offer any free options.

3. Copysmith (best bulk AI content generation tool)

copysmith homepage

If you run an eCommerce business or a marketing agency, there’s a good chance that Copysmith is the Copy.ai alternative you’ve been looking for.

Copysmith Main Features

Launched in 2020 with a lifetime deal on AppSumo, Copysmith has already made its mark in the industry with a sleek, intuitive design and user-friendly interface. Like Copy.AI and most of its alternatives, Copysmith is powered by GTP-3 AI copywriting software.

Where Copysmith really shines is in its impressive features for eCommerce and marketing.

Specifically, Copysmith also has two features that stand out from pretty much all of the competition (Copy.ai included):

  1. It allows users to export the content you generate with multiple file options to choose from, including TXT, DOCX, and PDF.
  2. It offers an impressive range of integrations, including Google Ads and Frase, for a truly streamlined content-creating an experience.

In addition to these unique features, Copysmith enables users to produce content in bulk.

It can generate hundreds of content copy versions at a time from a single CSV file, making it the ideal option for marketing teams who need to produce large amounts of SEO-ranked content quickly.

It also comes with the ability to generate high quality content in more than 60 languages, although its primary default setting is English.

Copysmith Pricing & Free Trial

copysmith pricing

Like many of the products on my list, Copysmith offers three different price tiers, with the option to pay either monthly or yearly.

Starter: Copysmith’s cheapest plan is geared towards individuals and freelancers and comes with up to 20,000 words and 20 plagiarism checks per month, the full suite of integrations, and in-app support.

Professional: Designed specifically for teams and “power users,” this plan comes with up to 100 plagiarism checks per month, plus in-app support and integrations.

Enterprise: This is Copysmith’s bespoke plan, requiring you to contact the company directly to discuss your business’s needs and get a price quote.

To give new customers a chance to try out their product and see if it’s the right fit, Copysmith now offers a generous 7-day free trial, after which point you can choose which of its plans will best fit your needs.

Copysmith vs Copy.ai?

copysmith features

Copysmith offers a number of features that Copy.ai lacks, including a full-length blog post generator tool with a built-in plagiarism checker and a number of in-app collaboration and sharing features that make it ideal for teams.

Copysmith also has an impressive array of integrations that Copy.ai lacks, including Shopify, Google Chrome, and Google Docs.

Long story short, thanks to its sophisticated collaboration and bulk content creation features, Copysmith is an all-around better product for eCommerce and/or marketing teams than CopyAI.

4. Writesonic

writesonic homepage

Like Copysmith, Writesonic was first launched with a lifetime deal on AppSumo in 2021, a move that helped its popularity skyrocket.

Within just a year, Writesonic has built up a reputation in the industry as a solid, reliable copywriting tool with an impressive range of features that just keeps getting better.

Writesonic Main Features

writesonic features

Like Copy.ai (and most of the best content writing tools), Writesonic is powered by GTP-3 or GPT-4 AI.

Although Writesonic doesn’t yet feature as many integrations as some of the others on my list, the company has announced that it will soon release a new version of the software integrated with Google Chrome and Shopify.

Writesonic also comes with the ability to generate complete blog posts in mere seconds, manage an unlimited number of projects (a great benefit for agencies with multiple clients), and produce content in more than 25 languages.

Best of all, Writesonic comes with more than 40 useful copywriting tools and features, making it one of the most comprehensive AI content writing tools on the market.

Writesonic Pricing & Free Trial

WRITESONIC PRICING

Writesonic offers Free Trial and two paid plans: Long-form and Custom plan:

  • Long-form (starts at $19/month): designed for businesses and freelancers, this plan comes with all of the bulk processing capabilities, an AI article writer (ability to unlock GPT-4, GPT-4+), and premium support.
  • Custom Plan is designed for teams and businesses. It has everything that is included in the Long-form plan and other more advanced customer features.

Writesonic’s plans are a bit confusing, since each plan offers a variety of different payment points you can choose from that come with slight variations, including a different word limit.

As such, it’s important to make sure the plan you sign up for is really the one that’s best for your needs.

Fortunately, Writesonic offers one of the best free trials out there, letting you generate up to 6250 words and try out the full suite of tools, including 70+ templates, before deciding whether to sign up.

Writesonic vs Copy.ai?

Writesonic comes with a long-form blog post generator tool (one of the features that Copy.ai noticeably lacks) and can generate content faster than Copy.ai.

Writesonic is also a better fit for agencies and teams than Copy.ai, both due to its advanced collaboration features and the ability to produce multiple copies simultaneously and in bulk.

It’s integrated with Zapier and WordPress and comes in a handy browser extension for easy accessibility. It also comes with Sonic Editor, a Google Docs-esque editing tool that makes for easy collaborative editing.

Long story short, Writesonic has a solid edge above Copy.ai when it comes to producing high-quality, long-form copy in bulk, making it a much better fit for agencies, bloggers, and businesses.

5. Rytr

rytr homepage

As is typical of many of the content writing tools on my list, Rytr was released into the world with a lifetime deal on AppSumo, a surefire way to generate buzz and popularity for a new product.

And while it may not be the flashiest option, Rytr is a robust copywriting tool with a lot to offer.

Rytr Main Features

rytr features

Just like Copy.ai, Rytr is powered by industry-favorite GTP-3.

However, it also enhances its content by using its own, proprietary AI technology in addition to GTP-3, giving Rytr an extra edge over the competition when it comes to producing readable, human-like text.

With Rytr, you can produce content in over 30 languages.

Rytr comes with a handy Chrome extension, and although it’s somewhat lacking in terms of integrations compared to others on my list, it does feature a great range of collaboration and team management tools.

Rytr Pricing & Free Trial

RYTR PRICING PLANS

When it comes to plans and pricing, Rytr keeps things simple. It offers two paid plans: Saver and Unlimited.

  • Saver ($9/month, or $90/year): This plan comes with a 100K character limit per month, 40+ use cases, 20+ tones, a built-in plagiarism checker, access to Rytr’s premium community, and the ability to create your own custom use case.
  • Unlimited ($29/month, or $290/year): This plan includes all the Saver features, plus the ability to generate an unlimited number of characters per month, a dedicated account manager, and access to priority email and chat support.

Although both of these plans are quite reasonably priced, where Rytr really shines is in its free plan, one of the most generous offers on my list.

With the free plan, you can generate 10,000 characters per month, access more than 40 use cases and 20 unique tones, and use Rytr’s built-in plagiarism checker.

Sure, 100,000 characters a month is pretty limited, but you can think of Rytr’s free plan as essentially an unlimited free trial, allowing you to give Rytr a try and produce a limited amount of content for free before paying to scale up.

Rytr vs Copy.ai?

Overall, Rytr produces higher quality, more sophisticated content than Copy.ai.

It allows users to choose between 30 different use cases (blog content, social media posts, etc.) and even offers a choice of 20 distinctive tones of voice to help give your text a human quality that’s hard to replicate.

Rytr even enables you to generate your own customized use case, a unique and highly useful feature that Copy.ai lacks.

Additionally, Rytr’s team management tools include the ability to add collaborators to your account and customize individual access for different team members, two features that Copy.ai noticeably lacks.

Best of all, Rytr’s forever-free plan makes it a far more economical choice than Copy.ai if you’re working on a tight budget or just getting started in the field.

In short, if you’re looking for an AI copywriting alternative that does most of the work for you, Rytr is a great option.

6. Anyword

ANYWORD HOMEPAGE

Anyword is in many ways the dark horse of copywriting AI tools, lacking in some of the hype and popularity of its competitors, but nonetheless deserving of its spot on my list.

Anyword Main Features

anyword features

Anyword is a great option for agencies and marketing teams that want a versatile, robust copywriting tool to produce content for multiple social media platforms and channels.

One of Anyword’s best features is a tone customization tool that allows Anyword to produce content consistently featuring your brand’s unique tone.

Another great bonus is Anyword’s predictive performance tool, which analyzes text after you’ve written it and gives it a performance score based on SEO and other metrics. It then gives your text a numerical score, as well as suggestions for what can be improved.

Anyword Pricing & Free Trial

anyword plans

Anyword markets itself primarily to medium/large businesses, a strategy that’s made clear by the fact that three of their Business plans require you to contact them to get a price quote.

However, they also offer two paid plans for Everyone and one free plan for “very small businesses.”

  • Free: Anyword’s forever free plan comes with a 1000-word limit per month, access to basic copywriting tools, a blog post generator “wizard,” and access for 1 team member.
  • Starter ($24/month, billed annually): The Basic plan comes with all of these features, plus a 20,000-word limit.
  • Data-Driven ($83/month, billed annually): This plan comes with all of the features of the Basic plan, plus content generation in more than 25 languages and Anyword’s predictive performance tool.

One thing that’s important to note is that only the Data-Driven plan comes with the ability to produce content in languages other than English.

Additionally, Anyword’s highly popular predictive performance tool is also only included with the Data-Driven plan or higher.

Anyword vs Copy.ai?

Although Anyword and Copy.ai are comparable in many ways, the kind of sophisticated analytical feedback that Anyword’s predictive performance tool can provide may put Anyword ahead of Copy.ai, particularly for marketing agencies and teams.

Anyword also offers an SMS text generator, a fun extra feature that Copy.ai lacks.

Use the coupon code Anyword20 and get 20% off when you sign up for Anyword.

7. Peppercontent.io (formerly Peppertype.ai)

peppercontent homepage

In addition to having a surprisingly cute name, Peppercontent.io is a solid competitor to Copy.ai and an all-around strong AI copywriting tool.

Peppercontent.io Main Features

Originally launched as an extension of Pepper, Peppertype.ai is powered by GTP-3 AI and has expanded to be able to produce topical content for pretty much every occasion.

Peppertype.ai comes with great collaboration and management features for teams, including the ability to add up to 20 team members to a single account, making it ideal for agencies.

With that said, it’s also a great solution for individual freelancers, as it can do a significant amount of the work for you.

Some of its notable features include more than 20 templates and several modules to create different types of blog posts as well as some basic enhancement creativity tools that let you take pre-existing content and totally reinvent it.

Peppercontent.io Pricing & Free Trial

peppercontent pricing

Like many of the options on my list, Peppercontenr.io includes two priced plans, Premium and a customized Enterprise plan that requires you to get a quote tailored to your specific needs.

  • Free 7-Day Trial ($0): Get all the Premium plan features.
  • Premium Plan: Intended for individuals, freelancers, and small teams, this plan comes with 250,000 words for creating AI content, up to 10,000 keywords for keyword research, SEO features, and more.
  • Enterprise Plan: This plan includes all of the Premium plan features, plus the ability to contact sales for customizable features.

Although it’s a bit hard to find (you have to scroll all the way to the bottom of Peppercontent.io’s pricing page).

Peppercontent.io vs Copy.ai?

Overall, Peppercontent.io and Copy.ai are comparable in many ways.

However, Peppercontent.io’s team collaboration features, blog post generator tools, and comparably lower starting price may make it a more attractive option than Copy.ai, particularly for agencies or businesses with multiple team members.

8. Frase.io

frase homepage

Ranked the #1 AI software on Capterra, Frase.io is another great AI-powered tool for copywriting, content generation, and SEO ranking.

Frase.io Main Features

frase features

Unlike many of the other alternatives on my list, Frase.io is powered by its own proprietary AI technology, giving the company more flexibility and customizability when it comes to the tools it can offer.

Frase.io comes with a robust range of tools, including:

  • a blog introduction and blog outline generator
  • a listicle generator
  • a content scoring & content editor
  • a content brief generator
  • automated content briefs

…and much more.

Frase.io also offers the option to “unlock more power” with add-ons for SERP data enrichment, keyword search volume, and unlimited access to Frase’s AI Writer tool.

Frase.io Pricing & Free Trial

frase pricing and plans

Frase.io offers three plans: Solo, Basic, and Team.

  • Solo: built for new projects that need up to 1 article per week, 4,000 words/month.
  • Basic: Built for individuals and/or very small teams. Includes 1 user seat, the ability to generate 4,000 characters a month, and writing/optimizing capability for +30 articles per month.
  • Team: Designed for larger teams and agencies. Includes 3 user seats (with the option to pay more for additional seats), unlimited writing and article optimization, and 4,000 AI characters/month.

While Frase.io used to offer a free plan, this has unfortunately been discontinued. However, they do offer a 5-day money-back guarantee.

Frase.io vs Copy.ai?

Frase.io and Copy.ai have generally received pretty comparable ratings from customers, and many would argue that you can’t go wrong with either.

However, Frase.io’s collaboration and sharing features for teams, blog generating tools, and optional add-ons for advanced data-driven analysis are all things that Copy.ai lacks.

9. GrowthBar

growthbar homepage

First launched as a Chrome extension in 2020, GrowthBar is another great alternative to Copy.ai if you’re looking to produce high-quality, AI-generated content.

GrowthBar Main Features

growthbar features

GrowthBar’s website boasts that it’s “the #1 (AI) SEO tool for content,” and while that claim may be debatable, it does come with a decently impressive suite of content generation features, including:

  • keyword research and tracking
  • an AI-powered blog topic generator and SEO-ranked AI blog outlines
  • a competitor article analysis feature
  • metrics analysis, including backlinks and information about competitor sites

GrowthBar also has a handy, totally free Google Chrome extension for easy access to SEO insights while you’re surfing the web.

GrowthBar Pricing & Free Trial

growthbar pricing

GrowthBar offers three feature-rich plans: Standard, Pro, and Agency.

  • Standard: Comes with 25 AI outlines, unlimited AI blog ideas and meta descriptions, 500 AI paragraph generations, unlimited keyword research, email support, and more.
  • Pro: Comes with all of the Standard plan features, plus 100 AI outlines, 2,000 AI paragraph generations, unlimited AI Chat, and more.
  • Agency: Comes with all of these features plus 300 AI content outlines, 5,000 AI paragraph generations per month, live support, and the ability to add up to 5 users.

If you’re an agency or working with a team, it’s important to note that only the Agency plan allows you to add more than 1 user.

Best of all, GrowthBar offers a generous 7-day 100% money-back guarantee.

GrowthBar versus Copy.ai?

Once again, the primary difference comes down to the range of features – in particular, the ability to produce long-form blog posts and collaborate with multiple team members.

On both of these counts, GrowthBar has more to offer than Copy.ai.

10. SurferSEO

surferseo homepage

First founded as a side hustle in 2017, SurferSEO is one of the oldest copywriting AI tools on my list and has grown into a profitable company with a lot to offer its customers.

SurferSEO Main Features

If you’re looking to optimize your content for maximum impact and SEO ranking, SurferSEO is a great tool for you.

SurferSEO uses more than 500 data points to perform advanced analytics on your content and offers data-driven advice on how to optimize it.

It comes with a robust suite of features, including an excellent Content Planner tool that makes it effortless to produce SEO-ranked content on any topic.

This is a particularly great tool for anyone working in online marketing or trying to raise brand awareness, as it can help you identify and include new topic clusters.

Other great SurferSEO features include:

  • a flexible content editor tool
  • an SEO Audit tool to help organize your search results
  • an AI-powered Growth Management tool designed to present weekly tasks and increase productivity
  • Several free add-ons, including a free AI Outline Generator and a free Chrome extension

SurferSEO also offers the unique opportunity to add and track your websites, letting you get top-notch analysis of all the content you post on your site in real time.

SurfSEO Pricing Plan & Free Trial

surferseo pricing

Compared to others on my list, SurferSEO offers a fairly wide range of plans.

  • Free ($0): SurferSEO’s forever free plan comes with the ability to add and track 1 (very small, early-stage) website, plus Grow Flow, topic suggestions, and AI-optimized content.
  • Basic ($49/month): The Basic plan includes all of the Free plan’s features plus the ability to track unlimited early-stage websites, 1 team member, new SEO insights every 7 days, a Content Editor (up to 120 articles/year), and 240 pages/year of auditing.
  • Pro ($99/month): The Pro plan includes all of these features, plus the ability to add and track 5 websites (plus unlimited early-stage websites), 3 team members, the ability to write and edit 360 articles per year with Content Editor, and 720 pages/year of auditing.
  • Business ($199/month): Comes with all these features plus the ability to add and track 10 websites (plus unlimited early-stage websites), 10 team members, the ability to write and edit 840 articles/year with Content Editor, and 1680 pages/year of auditing.

In addition to SurferSEO’s forever free plan, the company also offers a 7-day money-back guarantee.

SurferSEO or Copy.ai?

When it comes down to a comparison, Copy.ai is more of a traditional, workhorse AI copywriting tool.

This can be a good thing, but if you’re looking for a tool that can do more advanced market research, data-driven SEO analysis, content auditing, and growth management, then SurferSEO is likely a better fit for you.

Worst AI Writers

Here are two of the worst AI writing software programs that you should avoid using. Stay away from them if you want to produce quality content.

1. Creaite

Creaite claims to be an AI-powered article-writing software that writes 100% unique, human-readable articles on almost any topic in just a few minutes.

Trust me it’s not. Creaite is the worst AI writer on the market. It’s a borderline scam!

It’s a complete waste of time and money. I would not recommend using Creaite unless you are absolutely desperate for content and have no other option.

The content it produces is unreadable, off-topic, and just plain bad. If you want to see an example, check out the output of this article from their official product demo on Youtube.

What’s more, is that it uses a one-time credits payment system, making it a lot more expensive to use than the more reputable AI writers where you pay a fixed monthly subscription fee.

Creaite is a total waste of time and money, in my opinion.

2. WordAI

WordAI is one of the worst AI writers on the market because it produces low-quality, spun content.

The software relies on spinning existing content, so it often produces articles that are full of grammar errors and make little sense.

Additionally, WordAI is extremely slow, so you’ll likely have to wait a long time for your article to be ready. And even then, there’s no guarantee that it will be any good.

Overall, there are much better options available if you’re looking for an AI writer.

Spend your time and money elsewhere; WordAI is not worth the $57 per month price tag.

What Is Copy.ai?

copy ai homepage

Copy.ai is one of the most popular AI-powered copywriting tools on the market. Powered by GTP-3 AI technology, it’s a solid tool for producing SEO-ranked content for social media, marketing campaigns, marketing copy, blog articles, and more.

Copy.ai comes with a suite of templates for generating an impressively wide range of content, including (but not limited to):

  • business emails
  • real estate listings
  • thank you notes
  • marketing plans
  • job descriptions
  • cover letters
  •  resignation letters

…and much more.

Copy.ai has built up a good reputation in the industry and remains a great choice for generating high-quality content with AI.

Copy.ai Pricing

copy ai plans and pricing

Copy.ai keeps things simple by offering only two plans, a forever free plan, and a Pro plan:

  • Free ($0): Copy.ai’s free plan comes with 1 user seat, 90+ copywriting tools, the ability to generate 2,000 words per month, unlimited projects, and a 7-day free trial of the Pro plan.
  • Pro: The Pro plan comes with all of the Free plan features plus 5 user seats, the ability to generate 40K words, priority email support, 29+ languages, a Blog Wizard tool, and instant access to the newest content.
  • Enterprise: This plan comes with all of the features included in the previous plans plus other advanced features, such as API access, private company Infobase, etc.

Finally, Copy.ai offers a 7-day money-back guarantee, so you can test out the Pro plan and feel free to change your mind with no risk (within the first 7 days, that is).

Copy.ai Pros and Cons

Like all of the alternatives on my list, Copy.ai also has its pros and cons.

Pros:

  • Comes with an impressive suite of templates for generating a wide variety of content, from cold emails and marketing plans to thank-you notes.
  • Very generous free plan
  • Reasonably priced, with simple, straightforward plans
  • Offers 3 live demos per week for potential clients

Cons:

  • Lacking certain features, such as the ability to produce long-form AI-generated blog posts
  • AI-generated content is not always topically related
  • A bit slow; may lag when generating content
  • Takes time and effort to create long-form content

When it comes to AI-generated content, here’s an incredible range that’s already been accomplished. AI content generators are refining their abilities and producing increasingly human-like content every day.

And, with all the competition in the industry, we’re almost definitely going to see even more impressive AI-powered copywriting tools in the future.

Copy.ai is one of the O.Gs of AI writing tools, and it’s undeniably a great product.

With that said the alternatives I’ve included on my list are also great products that pick up the slack where Copy.ai falls short, as well as include features that Copy.ai lacks.

Although only you can decide which tool is right for your needs, all of the options on my list are well worth looking into when you’re in the market for an AI content generator.

How We Review AI Writing Tools: Our Methodology

Navigating the world of AI writing tools, we take a hands-on approach. Our reviews dig into their ease of use, practicality, and security, offering you a down-to-earth perspective. We’re here to help you find the AI writing assistant that fits your daily writing routine.

We start by testing how well the tool generates original content. Can it transform a basic idea into a full-fledged article or a compelling ad copy? We’re particularly interested in its creativity, originality, and how well it understands and executes specific user prompts.

Next, we examine how the tool handles brand messaging. It’s crucial that the tool can maintain a consistent brand voice and adhere to a company’s specific language preferences, whether it’s for marketing material, official reports, or internal communications.

We then explore the tool’s snippet feature. This is all about efficiency – how quickly can a user access pre-written content like company descriptions or legal disclaimers? We check if these snippets are easy to customize and integrate seamlessly into the workflow.

A key part of our review is examining how the tool aligns with your style guide. Does it enforce specific writing rules? How effective is it in identifying and correcting errors? We’re looking for a tool that not only catches mistakes but also aligns the content with the brand’s unique style.

Here, we assess how well the AI tool integrates with other APIs and software. Is it easy to use in Google Docs, Microsoft Word, or even in email clients? We also test the user’s ability to control the tool’s suggestions, allowing flexibility depending on the writing context.

Lastly, we focus on security. We scrutinize the tool’s data privacy policies, its compliance with standards like GDPR, and overall transparency in data usage. This is to ensure that user data and content are handled with utmost security and confidentiality.
